Indian Naval commander Dilan Donde - first Indian solo circumnavigation
It was our great pleasure to meet Commander Dilan Donde who is visiting our local harbour during his solo voyage around the world in the million dollar yacht 'MHADEI'. He is representing India as they enter the world yacht building arena, attempting to be the first Indian to sail solo around the world.
Pictured below, is the commander standing at the helm, after being presented with a complimentary 2C Solar Light Cap. "I can see already that this will be a very handy light for my travels", he said.
On the first leg of his journey from Mumbai, India, to Fremantle, he was briefly joined by a family of about five whales. Donde volunteered after the Indian Navy called for sailors to take on the solo world trip.
